Professor: Danny Barash

Researched the inverse problem in cellular automata to model biological evolution under the mentorship of Dr. Danny Barash and Dr. Ram M. Programmed evolutionary algorithms to identify rule mutation chains and analyze their fitness and lifetime dynamics, leveraging computational frameworks from Stephen Wolfram’s work to uncover emergent behavior in discrete dynamical systems.

Designed and developed a fully functional cross-platform mobile application , “SJIC lab”, which streamlines access to chess tournaments, private lessons, and events for SJIC staff, administrators, students and players. Leveraged AWS for secure cloud-based data storage and compute services and integrated third-party APIs to automate event registration and player tracking. Enabled staff to seamlessly create, update, and manage events while maintaining user-friendly UX/UI. Students can explore and book private lessons through this app and prospective players can register for tournaments

Description: A mobile application, (App Name: “carecloset”), is developed in React Native using Expo framework. The idea of the app is to provide users with easy to navigate and intuitive options to assess clothing insecurity in the United States and look at projected clothing needs. Based on this information, users are provided with several options to make clothing donations. Donors can register and offer donations, and receivers can register their clothing needs. Application matches the donor and receivers and donors can ship their donation to receivers and track them. Organizations can also register in the app to put the demands based on clothing predictions in the respective area. The app integrates with a variety of downstream systems to achieve this functionality. App integrates with the Machine Learning Models for prediction of clothing insecurity index and clothing needs in each county of the United States. The application connects with Census Bureau in real time to retrieve data and uses the data from multiple other sources through a batch mechanism. The application also provides Clothing Quality Check through Detection Algorithms. Check it out.
